West Jasper Place is a residential community located in West Edmonton, a little over 5 kilometres from the downtown core. West Jasper is part of the larger Jasper Place area, which includes neighbourhoods like Jasper Park, Glenwood, Mayfield, and Britannia Youngstown, and lies between 149th Street and 170th Street. Jasper Place was amalgamated with Edmonton in 1964.
West Jasper Place falls within the area bounded by Stony Plain Road (north), 149th Street (east), 156th Street (west), and 95th Avenue (south). The community includes a small shopping complex, Jasper Gates, at its northeast corner, as well as a number of businesses along Stony Plain Road.
West Jasper Place's neighbours include Sherwood, Crestwood, Glenwood, and Canora.
The old-fashioned layout, spacious tree-lined streets, and well-maintained mid-century homes gives West Jasper Place a charming and classic suburban feel.
