Hazeldean Real Estate

Most of  Hazeldean's housing stock dates back to the 1940s and 1950s. These mature homes reflect the typical style of the time in bungalow and cottage designs. Details include vinyl siding, exterior shutters, split-level layouts, and low-hipped roofs.

The vast majority of homes in Hazeldean are single-family dwellings, occupying spacious lots with generous setbacks, back-alley access, and rear sheds or garages. The main streets can be somewhat narrow, but they are lined with mature trees and freshly laid double-sidewalks.

Southwoods Court is a large townhouse and apartment complex in the southeast portion of Hazeldean.

The location, amenities, and affordability of the area have led to a recent rise in modern infill housing. These homes follow contemporary new-traditional design ideas, and tend to be much larger than the surrounding homes. They can be easily recognized by their many-gabled facades, dark colours, and double-storey layout. Very often these homes are quite tall and narrow, as two are built to each older lot.
