Guide To Sherwood Park AB
Sherwood Park is located to the east of Edmonton proper, with most of its residential area situated between Anthony Henday Drive and Highway 21. The central route through Sherwood Park is Baseline Road, which connects central Sherwood Park to downtown Edmonton in less than 20 minutes, or approximately 14 kilometres.
West of Anthony Drive is the area known as Refinery Row, consisting mostly of light-industrial and commercial development.
The main transit route through Sherwood Park is the Trans-Canada Highway 16.
Sherwood Park is part of the large Strathcona County, a vast area of almost 1,200 square kilometres in size. The area is mostly rural, incorporating various farms, fields, wooded areas, and lakes. Just beyond the eastern Boundary of Strathcona County is Elk Island National Park.

Having been developed from the 1950s up to the present day, Sherwood Park includes a mix of mid-century suburban homes, 80s and 90s new-traditional homes, and sleek modern new-builds.

Sherwood Park falls within the Elk Island Public Schools district. The two main high schools in the area are Bev Facey Community High School and, Salisbury Composite High School.
Sherwood Park mall is situated centrally along Sherwood Drive and contains a cinema, Safeway, banks, restaurants, and other stores.
