Laurier Heights is situated on the west banks of the North Saskatchewan River, bordered by 87 Avenue (north), 149 Street (west), and Laurier Drive (south). The east and southeast borders of Laurier Heights overlook the river valley.
Neighbouring communities include Quesnell Heights, Lynnwood, Jasper Park, and Parkview. There is a "lower" area of Laurier Heights situated in the river valley and known as Buena Vista.
