Oxford Neighbourhood Information

Oxford is one of the more recently established neighbourhoods in Edmonton. Featuring several green spaces, playgrounds, and Oxford Lake it’s easy to see why so many people are excited to call this community home. The northern portion of the neighbourhood is home to a protected wetland area which provides residents with an opportunity to observe wildlife in a natural setting.

Neighbouring communities are Albany to the north, Carlton to the west, Cumberland to the south, and Dunluce to the east. The communities offer additional shopping and dining options for Oxford residents. You’ll also be only a few minutes away from the YMCA for additional recreation programs in nearby Castle Downs.

Public transportation is limited within Oxford and the large majority of residents rely on their personal vehicles to run day-to-day errands and commute. With few shopping options available locally, walking to shops or cafes is not usually convenient. Residents looking to commute by bicycle will be delighted by the relatively flat terrain.

Families with younger children enjoy spending time at Oxford Park enjoying the brightly coloured playground equipment and large sports field. Oxford Lake provides additional park space including picnic tables for residents.

School Information

The closest school is Elizabeth Find School in Carleton. This school offers educational opportunities for kindergarten through grade 9. There are a number of highschools located closer to downtown Edmonton.
