Starling real estate is located approximately 25 minutes, or 18 kilometres, northwest of Downtown Edmonton. The northern boundary of Starling is 137 Avenue and the western boundary is 199 Street. The eastern boundary of Starling follows Ray Gibbon Drive, down past Anthony Henday Drive to Yellowhead Highway at Starling's southernmost point.
The surrounding area includes farmland, Anthony Henday Drive to the southeast, and the neighbouring communities of Hawks Ridge, Trumpeter, and Heritage Lakes.
Residents of Starling live only 5 minutes from the Trans-Canada Highway.
